ITS A IM BOARD WITH MY LIFE...I WANNA DO SOMETHING CRAZY THURSDAY...!!!!

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford

TORONTO — Police conducted a series of early-morning raids Thursday targeting an apartment complex linked to a video purportedly showing the mayor of Toronto smoking crack cocaine.
Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair said 43 arrests have been made targeting a gang called the Dixon City Bloods or Dixon Goonies. Police seized 40 guns, $3 million worth of drugs and $570,000 cash.
The raid included a building complex where reporters claim drug dealers showed them a cellphone video of Mayor Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine.
Blair refused to comment further on any evidence seized, saying it will come out in court. He would not say if there was any connection to Ford.

Former Argentine President Carlos Menem attends his swearing-in ceremony as senator for La Rioja province at the National Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Nov. 29, 2005

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — Former Argentine President Carlos Menem was sentenced to seven years in prison on Thursday for illegally smuggling weapons to Ecuador and Croatia in violation of international embargoes in the 1990s.
The court also banned Menem, now a senator, from holding elective office, and asked the Senate to vote to remove the immunity he enjoys as an elected member of Congress.
The sentence is final unless overturned by the Supreme Court, but it's unclear whether senators will vote him out of office. Menem's leadership of Argentina in the 1990s is frequently criticized by President Cristina Fernandez, but as senator he has provided a reliable swing vote on critical issues, and the current president's allies control the Senate.
Given his advanced age, 82, Menem would likely serve his sentence at home.
An appeals court found Menem and 11 others guilty in March, overturning his earlier acquittal at trial in 2011. The court said much of the evidence had been mistakenly dismissed, and that there is no logical way the weapons could have been smuggled without Menem's direct participation and approval.

Ex-teacher pleaded not guilty to having sex with a child

Ventura, Ca. — A former sixth-grade teacher suspected of having an affair with a Southern California student has pleaded not guilty to having sex with a child.
32-year-old Malia Brooks entered pleas Wednesday to charges of lewd conduct, oral copulation and sexual penetration with a person under 14.
She remains jailed on $2 million bail and faces up to 16 years in prison if convicted.
Her attorney, Ron Bamieh, says the married mother of two is cooperating with police.
She resigned from Garden Grove Elementary School in Simi Valley earlier this month and was arrested on Tuesday.
Police say the school district notified them of the allegations in February. Superintendent Kathy Scroggin says Brooks taught at the school since 2004 and had exemplary reviews
