GUESS WHO WILL BE PERFORMING FOR SUPER BOWL!!!!

Missy joining Katy for the Super Bowl halftime show

Missy Elliott's ready to work it — at the Super Bowl! The multiplatinum, Grammy-winning rapper will join Katy Perry for Super Bowl XLIX's halftime performance on Feb. 1, a source confirms to Us WeeklyLenny Kravitz is also slated to perform at halftime during the game in Phoenix.
Perry, 30, hinted at Elliott's involvement in the big show during a press conference Thursday, Jan. 29, telling Us she's "very, very excited" about the "throwback" performer.

"All I can say is that it will be a real female fun night. It's a bit old-school, but when this person enters the stage and you hear the first ring of the chord, jaws will drop and faces will melt," Perry — who worked with Elliott, 43, on the remix of Perry's 2011 hit "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)" — hinted.
While exact details of the song list are being kept under wraps, Elliott's "Get Ur Freak On," "Work It" and "Scream a.k.a. Itchin'" are award-winning tunes that would get the crowd pumping at University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
All Perry will say about her 12-minute routine is that it'll draw on her admiration of past halftime show performers like Beyonce and Madonna. "We're all going to have a wonderful, fun, not-so-serious time. When I look back at the different performers I admire, like Beyonce, who of course brings that incredible strength and sass and flips her hair like nobody else can, and Madonna, who really brought some incredible graphic design and choreography, I kind of wanted to do a combination of both," Perry said.

Her performance, Perry hints, will definitely make for Monday morning water-cooler talk. "I think I’m probably the only person in Super Bowl halftime history that will ever bring both a lion and sharks to the show," the "Roar" singer told Us. "It's going to be wild out there!"

PRAYING FOR THE HOUSTON FAMILY.......

Whitney Houston's Daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, Found Unresponsive in Bathtub

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston, was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home Saturday, police said. Brown's husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend found her in the tub in the morning and started CPR, the Roswell Police Department said in a statement. Police and rescue personnel arrived at the home, north of Atlanta, at 10:25 a.m. and performed "life-saving measures" before Brown, 21, was brought breathing to the nearby North Fulton Hospital.
The incident remains under investigation, police said. It comes less than two weeks before the third anniversary of Houston's death. The Grammy-winning singer was found submerged in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills, California, hotel on Feb. 11, 2012. She was later pronounced dead. Brown is also the daughter of R&B singer Bobby Brown.
Houston, 48, had struggled for years with cocaine, marijuana and pills, and her behavior had become erratic. Authorities examining Houston's death found a dozen prescription drug bottles in the hotel suite. They concluded that she accidentally drowned. Heart disease and cocaine use were also listed as contributing factors in her death.
Earlier this month, Lifetime released the biopic, "Whitney," which focused on the "I Will Always Love You" singer's drug use. Houston's sister-in-law, Pat Houston, released a statement blasting the film and said neither her mother, Cissy Houston, or Bobbi Kristina Brown, were consulted.

ITS A CANARY SINGING SATURDAYS......

The 4th Annual Queen City Brewers Festival (QCBF) will take place Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at the legendary Bojangles' Coliseum. QCBF is a tasting event that showcases Charlotte’s breweries, brewpubs, bottle shops and craft beer-focused restaurants. Funds raised by the event benefit ACEing Autism. QCBF will be the first beer festival held at Bojangles’ Coliseum, which opened in 1955 as Charlotte’s first coliseum.

Roughly 2,000 attendees will enjoy craft beer and food samples on the same floor that has seen performances by Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones and was once home to the Charlotte Checkers.

Brewers are encouraged to bring one “super” flavor or style of beer especially for QCBF, as the Super Bowl takes place the following day. Works by local artists and live music will be on hand during each of the two tasting sessions: 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.

QCBF’s mission is to spotlight Charlotte’s craft beer industry while raising awareness and funds for ACEing Autism, a non-profit which uses the sport of tennis to connect with children on the autism spectrum.
