In collaboration with Black Mecca of the South Tours, the Auburn Avenue Research Library will host Bound for Heaven: The Legacy of Reverend J. M. Gates. Reverend Gates was the pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in the community of Rock Dale Park, Atlanta, Georgia from 1914–1945. Between the years 1926 to 1941, he recorded over 200 sermons and gospel songs for Victor, Bluebird, Okeh, Paramount and Gennett Records. Ever wonder what kids do at campMODA, our LEGO Robotics experience? On upcoming Sundays — August 26, September 2, 9 and 16 – we’ll be offering kids 6 and over the opportunity to experiment with LEGO WeDo Robotics kits in the museum galleries between 12pm and 6pm.

Participating children must be accompanied by adults for the duration of their visit and will be assigned a 30 minute slots for robotics play upon arrival at MODA.

The resulting documentary is the culmination of five years spent uncovering the "no apologies" lifestyle of six self-defined aggressives as they define their dreams, share their most intimate secrets and reveal their deepest fears. The female counterpart to Paris is Burning, this heartfelt all-access film exposes the AG community in all its unabashed, rough-edged glory and explores its impact on gender identity in the modern world.
