Lisa Tuttle and Alice Lovelace are proud to announce a pre-publication party for the artist book "Harriet Rising", published with the support of the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs. The book is drawn from their collaborative public art project, part of "Elevate: Art Above Underground 2011". The installation remained on exhibit for one year. The project was selected by the Americans for the Arts Public Art Network as part of the prestigious 2012 Year-in-Review awards, making it one of the 50 bes...

t public arts projects in the nation. The artist book celebrates the diverse contributions of Harriet Tubman and eight women-led organizations in Atlanta that continue to work locally and internationally in the spirit of Harriet Tubman. "We are her stubborn daughters!"
