A ITLA Celebrates and Honors the Lives of Those Who Made Their Transitions
In The Life Atlanta (ITLA) invites the community to join with us as we celebrate the lives of those who have transitioned beyond the physical realm as we know it.
The Candlelight Vigil, designed to celebrate the lives of those we love, is a way for the LGBTQIA community and our heterosexual family, friends and supporters to remember our love ones also. This event of spiritual renewal and reunion will take place on Wednesday August...
29, 2012 from 7 - 9 pm at First MCC of Atlanta under the leadership of Senior Pastor Paul Graetz. The church is located at 1379 Tullie Road, Atlanta, GA 30329.

This year’s Candlelight Vigil – one of our ‘Signature kick-off Events’ – commemorates ITLA’s 16th Annual Black Gay Pride Weekend Celebration. This event is an excellent opportunity to begin an action-packed weekend of remembrance, elaboration and festivities. With love and the fondest of memories, our love ones, friends, family, colleagues and celebrity personalities have not, and will never be forgotten. Their absence and contributions will forever be felt in our hearts.

The ITLA Board of Directors, Chairs, Co-Chairs, Sponsors, and Volunteers invite you to come light a candle with us. Our Board Liaison – Tracy Wilson – is deeply committed to making this, our 16th Annual Black Gay Pride Celebration, a memorable and richly rewarding affair. We promise to enthusiastically inspire you with melodious song, awesomely articulated spoken words and the power of praise through a liturgical dance.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Sharon D. Smith. Sharon is an author, publisher, founder and chief editor for Seven Stages Publishing House, LLC, and is currently a Ph.D. student in Psychology at the Univ. of Phoenix.
