A RAISIN IN THE SUN

Casting for the following characters:
Travis Younger: The ten-year-old son of Walter and Ruth Younger. Living in a household with three generations in conflict, Travis skillfully plays each adult against the other and is, as a result, somewhat "spoiled." In spite of this, he is a likeable child.
Walter Lee Younger: In his middle thirties, he is the husband of Ruth, father of Travis, brother of Beneatha, and son of Lena (Mama) Younger. Walter works as a chauffeur and drinks a bit too much at times. When he discovers that his mother will receive a $10,000 check from his father's insurance, he becomes obsessed with his dreams of a business venture which will give him financial independence and, in his mind, will make him a more valuable human being.
Beneatha Younger: The twentyish sister of Walter Lee and the daughter of Lena Younger. She is a college student planning to go to medical school. The only family member privileged to have the opportunity for a higher education, she is sometimes a little overbearing in the pride she takes in being an "intellectual."
Lena Younger (Mama): The mother of Walter Lee and Beneatha, mother-in-law of Ruth, and grandmother of Travis. Lena's (Mama's) every action is borne out of her abiding love for her family, her deep religious convictions, and her strong will that is surpassed only by her compassion. Mama's selfless spirit is shown in her plans to use her $10,000 insurance check for the good of her family, part of which includes plans to purchase a house in a middle-class white neighborhood.
Joseph Asagai: An African college student from Nigeria, Asagai is one of Beneatha's suitors. Mannerly, good looking, and personable, he is well liked by all members of the Younger household.
George Murchison: Beneatha's other boyfriend, he too is a college student. His wealthy background alienates him from the poverty of the Youngers. Easily impressed, Ruth is the only member of the Younger household who naively overlooks George's offensive snobbishness.
Karl Lindner: A weak and ineffectual middle-aged white man, Lindner is the spokesman for the white community into which the Youngers plan to move. He has been sent to persuade the Youngers not to move into the white neighborhood. In fact, he has been authorized by the white community to offer the Youngers a monetary incentive not to move in.
Bobo: The somewhat dimwitted friend of Walter Lee who, along with another friend, Willy, plans to invest in Walter Lee's business scheme.
STUDZMEN
StudZmen is a film about broken promises, self-discovery, and the power of friendship. When five longtime friends reunite for a wedding they discover that holding onto the past is detrimental to the future. Can they learn to accept each other for who they have grown to be or will it threaten to destroy the bond they have built over the years?
SWAGG: Late 20’s masculine identified female. Out of all of the StudZmen Swagg has the most prestigious career. Swagg always put her career and money over women and love, known as a player she is finally ready to settle down with Niecy. She has promised her bois that she has changed her ways and her cheating days are behind her. When her ex-girlfriend Brenda shows up in her life one week before her wedding, Swagg is truly tempted and begins to second guess if she is really ready to settle down. Will Swagg compromise everything?
TRAIL: Late 20’s, “hard” masculine identified female. Trail is a mechanic and dreams of one day opening her own shop, but lacks the drive to put in the hard work to do so. Trail refuses to accept the fact that her ex Shonda has moved on and continues to live with Shonda and her “new family”. Trail convinces Shonda to come to the wedding with her and pretend they are still a happy couple. As Shonda begins to redevelop feelings for Trail, Trail begins to finally let go of her and starts to fall for one of the bridesmaids. Will Trail finally be able to let Shonda go?
JENDERLESS: Early 30’s androgynous female. Jenderless was always a hustler and nothing has changed except for the product she is hustling. She is avoiding telling the StudZmen about her new line of work for fear of rejection. When the truth is revealed it comprises their friendship in a way that the StudZmen may never recover from. Is their friendship strong enough to handle this truth?
TIMBO: Early 30’s urban street philosopher who preaches about the conspiracies of the government. Now she doesn’t do much more that smoke weed and watch TV. Her passion is gone and she is fully supported by her girlfriend Cash. When Timbo meets up with the StudZmen for the wedding she is reconnected to her passion and her drive. But this inner awakening puts a strain on her relationship with Cash, who feels like Timbo is now a stranger to her. Will Timbo choose her past over her future?
QUICK: mid 20’s masculine identified female. Quick was known to be the “slow” one of the group, very shy and timid, often the butt of their jokes. Truth is they never expected much from her. Although Quick has grown tremendously, she feels compelled to still play dumb. When her very beautiful and successful girlfriend, Tina arrives for the wedding, she is disturbed by the way the StudZmen treat Quick. She encourages Quick to stand up for herself and show her friends who she really is. Will they accept the new and improved Quick?
NIECY: Late 20’s female very successful and driven. She is about to marry Swagg
BRENDA: Late 20’s female. She is one of Swagg’s ex-girlfriends. A chance encounter causes them to revisit their relationship.
CASH: Late 30’s “hood” female. Cash is a vendor who sells just about everything, just about everywhere. She loves Timbo and is caught off guard when she learns about who Timbo really is.
TINA: Mid 20’s female. Tina comes from a wealthy family and is extremely attractive. She loves Quick but not her friends. She is opinionated and protective of Quick.

Tatum Entertainment Inc. Is developing a Dramatic, Episodic television show and possible movie entitled GUPpies (Gay Urban Professional). The show is about four GUPpies (Gay Urban Professional) women trying to navigate the world of Corporations, Religion, Media and Politics while living a
gay/lesbian lifestyle.
Dr. Jordan‐ Psychiatrist Jordan and Billie were college roommates. Jordan is a psychologist who always tries to read the minds of women. She tries to hook Billie up with women “in the life”, but they aren’t of any interest to Billie. Jordan is never monogamous when it comes to relationships (maybe it has something to do with her father; they don’t get along well). She is sexy and women respond to her
easily. Change is coming.
Tracy ‐ Real Estate Developer Tracy attended college with Billie and Jordan, and she’s currently a real estate developer. She is very confused about her life. She has two kids, divorced (from a man), and not quite sure if she wants to be “in the life”. Tracy is the quiet one in the group, but she’s the one to look out for. She is agenda driven, focused and organized. She works hard and plays hard
