Construction & General Building Laborers Local 79’s Apprentice Program
We are taking applicants for the position of Skilled Construction Craft Laborer
We hope to accept up to 200 Apprentices in the next 9-24 months
Minimum Requirements
18 years of age
HS diploma or GED
Physically capable of performing the work
Pass a pre entrant drug screening at your expense (provided you have already been selected into the program)
Instructions Beginning on September 24th for 10 business days
(Or until we have 2,000 applicants)
From 9:00 A.M. through 11:59 A.M.
Go to http://www.mttf.org/ (yes you must type WWW.)
You will see directions to apply
You may apply only ONE TIME, during these ten days
If you believe you are going to move in the next 24 months.
Please use 2 different addresses, one that is very consistent i.e. a family member that hasn’t moved in many years and will let you know as soon as mail arrives.
You will be mailed one letter to each address, at the same time. This does not give you two separate applications but it does eliminate a problem if you have difficulties getting your mail.
Fill out the form no different than if you were ordering a product online
Thank you for applying; now all you need to do is to wait for a letter in the mail asking you to get scheduled for an interview. (This could take up to 2 years depending on economic conditions)
Everyone that applies will be mailed a letter of invitation for an interview. These names will be drawn at random, when needed periodically over the next 9-24 monthS.
